1st Assignment
What is Literature?
Literature is not just about reading and writing. It's also about being creative and imaginative. Some people find literature so boring that they tend not to at least try to engage in this kind of art. For example, in this picture, a magnifying glass, which is used to produce a magnified image, symbolizes literature that helps us to see world in a different and an enlarged way. It helps us to realize that there are lots of things in the world that we should give attention to, even the smallest ones. This picture shows that if we just look closely to what literature is, we can find in ourselves a love for it.
Literature as a part of our curricula, is important in my program which is Bachelor of Science in Electonics and Communication Engineering. By practicing reading lots of literary works, it helps me to become more patient in what I am doing. It also humanizes me in a way that it helps me to become more civilized and more open-minded. It helps me to improve my skills like concentration, and others. It helps me to become aware of the values needed to improve my potentials and fulfill my dreams. Most importantly, it makes me a more social person because when you read a literary piece, you can encounter different characters that you can more or less relate to. In this way, you can face other people who also have different personalities that can help me when I will be on the professional field because there, I will meet different people and I can pretty much interact well with them. That's why "Literature" must be a part of our life. That's all!!! :))
